a little about myself
Life began steering me in a different direction after my father left this world. Doubts and questions crept into my mind...there had to be more to life than what appeared real from an external perception.
Reading books that challenged my habitual way of thinking and living became an integral part of enquiring into my 'Self' and beyond. I was introduced to Yoga and Ayurveda and was extremely fortunate to have teachers who instilled in me inner and outer strength, emphasising the importance of being true to myself, providing me with an opportunity to heal old wounds and allowing me to experience life from a clearer perspective.
Having been influenced by and practised alongside many amazing beings, I felt ready, prepared, to delve deeper into all that Yoga is, and so began to study the tradition of Hatha Yoga, completing the Hatha Yoga Method 500 hour Yoga and Meditation, 200 hour Mastery Meditation, and 60 hour Somatic Yin Yoga Teaching Trainings at Kookaburra Yoga.
And here I am, having gained deeper knowledge and understanding of the many aspects and layers of Yoga, feeling as though I have undergone an extraordinary transformation. Along with life's learnings and experiences, these comprehensive and enriching studies have instilled in me the attributes needed to continue travelling forward on my path with Yoga.
And now...
Having recently moved to the beautiful Mt Helena, surrounded by nature ~ Earth, trees, birds, fresh air, stillness, quietness ~ I find myself in the perfect space to share Yoga and Meditation with the community.

about our classes
All classes derive from the teachings and practices of Patanjali, known as the Eight Limbs of Yoga. They include ethical guidelines and personal observances (yama & niyama), movement (asana), breathwork (pranayama), quietening the senses (pratyahara), concentration, single pointed focus, and stillness (dharana, dhyana & samadhi). Each class concludes with guided relaxation providing space and time for the whole body to yield into stillness and absorb the benefits of the practice.

I love Michelle’s Gentle Hatha yoga class and feel a perfect balance of relaxed and energised afterwards. Teaching in a gentle way, her instructions and adaptions help me feel seen and put me at ease. The class includes slower movements which help me to stay connected to where I’m at on the day, and the stronger poses encourage me to stretch and grow in many ways.
I trust in her years of practice which shines through in her presence and attentiveness to each student and her kind inquiries leave me feeling warm and nurtured.
I’d recommend this class to beginners but also to anyone wanting to develop deep self-connection and be guided into true healing on many levels.
